What was the highlight of Jiaoxi-The Riverside

Comfortable hotel with nice hotsprings :)

Very friendly staff. They upgraded our room, which was great. Spa bath in our room was amazing. Heated toilet seat unexpected but nice, haha. They have a public spa at the ground floor which is beautiful and comfortable, and a small 'onsen' on the roof which is only for hotel guests. Shower caps are mandatory. The spa is mixed, with swimming clothing, and the onsen is seperated and nude. The location of the hotel is convenient, close to the railway station.

I don't see any necessary improvements.

It’s close to the city center, there’s a parking spot.

The room facing the street is very noisy at night. The soundproof is pretty bad between each room. ( you can hear people talking in even in the bathroom!!! ) the bathtub supposed to be a jacuzzi however it was broken.

Cyclist friendly with great hot springs

Lovely hotel. The hot springs in the garden she incredible. Cyclist friendly. They let us lock up our bicycles in the lobby next to the front desk. Very good breakfast as well. Buffet is great to fuel biking.

Good location and nice hot spring pools.

Several hotsprings in the hotel for feet and body. One at ground level for use in Swimming attire and another at roof top Japanese I Sen style. Breakfast included. Free parking included. Very convenient location with Family mart downstairs along with dessert and dining options. Attractions like fish spa just across the road. Wufengqi waterfall nearby.

Rooms had a musky smell.

The rooms were spacious and the location's great.

The rooms were spacious and the location's great. There were restaurants and shops all around it. The hotel offered different kinds of hot spring. The hotel breakfast area was spacious and they offered a wide variety of food.

Booking thru booking.com, I understood that payment will be made at the hotel and that my credit card was just for security purposes. Upon arrival, the concierge told me they have alr charged the fee on my card. Even tho they agreed to reverse the payment, I found out later that due to the exchange currency, the reversed amt and the charged amt were diff and I had to pay the diff. Another thing is that they only have 1 lift, which was full most of the time.

What was the highlight of Jiaoxi-The Riverside

A peaceful space in the middle of a vibrant town.

Communicating with a hotel staff in a foreign land can be difficult and unpleasant but Roey, the hotel clerk, was quick with a smile and determined to answer all our questions. She also provided extra information about the hotel amenities and town attractions that I didn't know. The roof-top onsen was a wonderful treat as were the ground level hot-spring pools. The "hot-springs" in-room bathroom tub was a luxury as was the Japanese push-button toilet seat.

The room location was near a busy street and a bit noisy. The hotel was hard to find, sandwiched between other commercial shops in a 6-story building. Better signage would have helped us find the place but it's worth the find.

Great JiaoXi trip.

Great location for relaxation in hot pool. Close proxmity to the infamous 奕順轩 for bread/local delights e.g Yi Lan biscuits and Etc.. Staffs there are excellent!

great place to stay in Jiaoxi...but do not forget to book deluxe room instead of superior....

hotspring, location, deluxe room (HUGE bathtub)

superior room - bathroom is way different (much poorer) than deluxe room. you pay 600 TWD less but the value is not good. I can compare since I booked both rooms (deluxe and superior) for my friends. unfortunately there are not enough photos of the rooms on booking.com....

A nice hot spring hotel for family stay, however improvements needed on the hot springs arrangements

Great location, equipped with indoor free parking. Rooms were spacious. Breakfast buffet had a good variety.

We were not notified beforehand that the rooftop hot spring would be closed during our stay. That was a big disappointment and defeated the whole purpose of the hot spring hotel. Also, swimsuits and swim hats were required to enter the hot spring. The rooms had a damp smell to them and the air conditioning did not work well. Lastly, the shampoo and shower gels provided by the hotel had expired by 1 month.
